Quiet Up There
It is a challenge to concentrate when you’re thoughts are at odds with each other.
It is not always a rational conversation and unfortunately, the winner all too often is the thought with the loudest fear.
It can feel like there is a lot of noise going on in our heads at times but the reality is much of it is chatter from our own inner voice.
Just like a diet of only one type of food wouldn’t be optimal for your body, only getting feedback from your own inner voice can be the same for your mind.
Sharing conflicting thoughts with a trusted peer, mentor, or manager can help triangulate a way forward based on perspective as opposed to navigating away from opportunities based on fear.
My penguin cartoons illustrate leadership, learning, and development with a smile while offering a daily dose of fun and thoughtful reflection.
These insights come from twenty years of leadership experience and I enjoy this unique way to encourage us to think about how we can do leadership differently.
I use the Corel Draw Suite to draw my cartoons and you can learn more about me on my LinkedIn profile, Lee Sampson.
